Anisha Mary Thomas. An accounting and audit professional with over four years of experience, including a strong foundation built at a Big 4 firm. She holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a specialization in Computer Applications, giving her a solid mix of technical accounting expertise and technological proficiency. Known for her attention to detail and professional integrity, she consistently delivers quality work in dynamic environments. Outside of work, she values spending time with family and friends and enjoys traveling, which contributes to her well-rounded perspective and interpersonal skills.
After 4 years of public accounting, he has become an expert in Assurance, Tax, and Financial Analytics. Kamren’s attention to detail has served the company well with audit and CFO services. As an avid biker, his hobbies include tennis, gaming and reading.
Carolina acquired her commerce degree from the University of Toronto and became a CGA in 1995. Her experience is well-rounded as she has worked with a wide variety of business entities including family businesses, private corporations and public corporations.
Carolina concentrates her efforts on providing our clients with advanced tax and accounting strategies.
Stapley graduated with a General Business diploma from Conestoga College in 2015. She began working in Financial Institutions after graduating and remained in that sector for 3 years. Her career shifted to Public Accounting in 2018 where she worked as a Staff Accountant. Stapley started with Business Affairs in 2023. She is our Senior Accountant focusing on all aspects of Corporate and Personal returns. Outside of the office she enjoys volunteering with the Canadian Animal Assistance Team providing veterinary care to remote areas of Canada. She also volunteers as the treasurer of her local Community Centre.
Mary Cygne Palentinos completed her studies in BS Accountancy & Financial Management, gaining valuable expertise in bookkeeping and the accounting process. With four years of experience working in auditing and accounting firms, she has handled a diverse range of businesses. Cygne also specializes in the payroll process for multiple clients, demonstrating attention to detail, accuracy, & compliance.Outside of her professional life, Cygne actively participates in church activities & enjoys exploring trails in her free time, which allows her to unwind & navigate challenges.
My name is Kiran Bhathal. I have completed my bachelor’s degree in commerce, majoring in accounting and minoring in Spanish, in Alberta. I am looking forward to pursuing my CPA. I am dedicated and experienced in different aspects of accounting. I bring more than seven years of expertise and a commitment to accounting as a staff accountant in BA.

Over the past decade, I have cultivated my extensive experience in Canadian Public Accounting with my specialities encompass financial reporting, personal tax and ensuring seamless data analysis skills. Beyond the professional realm, I find balance through hiking in the beautiful Ontario trails, exploring beautiful winter wonders of Canada. This blend of professional dedication and personal fulfilment fuels my commitment to bring a well-rounded and focused approach toward my work.
I earned my degree from the University of Toronto and hold a CPA designation. With over 14 years of experience as a senior accountant in public practice, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including those in healthcare, hospitality, investments, and real estate. Throughout my career, I’ve developed deep expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and client advisory services.
I am also hard of hearing—a challenge that has shaped my journey but never limited my drive or performance. I believe my technical knowledge, analytical mindset, and strategic thinking bring more value to clients than any limitation ever could. Outside of work, I enjoy walking and strive to hit 10,000 steps a day—it keeps me energized and focused. I’m also passionate about giving back and regularly volunteer my accounting and consulting services to local charities.
Tushar has a B.Com in Advanced Accounting & Auditing and an MBA majoring in Finance. His career spans over 20 years, which includes international experiences as well as Canadian. The bulk of his career was focused on the Investment industry. His current expertise with Business Affairs Ltd is providing VCFO services, SRED applications, as well as various government grants. Clients appreciate interacting directly with him to resolve their day-to-day issues. He is a great fan of cricket, badminton, and table tennis, picked up during his earlier years.
Renu Chand is a Operational Manger with extensive experience in operations management and strategy development. She focuses on customer relationship management and understands that the accounting business is based on relationships and trust with clients first, and then on accounting needs.
Renu graduated with a master’s degree in business administration in 2008. She has gained extensive experience working for Foreign Exchange boutiques focusing on money management services. As Operations Manager for a multinational company, she set up their footprint in Ontario, adding valuable skills. She joined Paul’s accounting firm in 2012 and manages all client onboarding, setup of various professional incorporations, assistance with clients’ banking needs, CRA inquiries, and resolutions. She also specializes in customized setups of accounting solutions (software integrations) as per the client’s industry.
In her spare time, Renu enjoys playing board games with children, ages 14 and 11. She looks forward to watching them play soccer and basketball. She loves watching videos of her nieces and nephews growing up.
Paul has gained extensive experience working for leading accounting firms and corporate controllership in the healthcare industry. During his tenure, he acquired various accounting and tax skills, including expertise in complex intercompany transactions, corporate structures, and tax planning strategies. During his association with top tax and corporate lawyers, he was able to obtain favourable tax resolutions for clients, as well as successfully handle complex acquisition and merger projects for the healthcare industry.
Additionally, Paul has successfully advised companies focusing on research and development in securing millions of dollars in government grants.
In 2014, Paul founded his accounting firm, focusing on accounting and advisory services. In 2023, Paul Group acquired Business Affairs and is now the preferred firm for professionals in the healthcare industry, serving veterinary practices, dentists, and physicians.
In addition to focusing on financial performance, he emphasizes a bigger picture, long-term strategy and tax advisory based on intergenerational wealth planning. Paul is an accountant with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Paul believes in a human-centric approach for his employees and clients. He believes in hand-holding clients and employees through various challenges to ensure they succeed.
In his spare time, Paul loves to spend time outdoors with his two kids, going on long walks and bike rides. He loves watching Cricket and the English Premier League with his son.
